epay Australia Pty Ltd ABN 71 093 566 057 (“Epay Australia”, “we”, “our” and “us”) is subject to the National Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (“Privacy Act”). epay Australia’s Privacy Policy explains how we protect the privacy of your personal information under the National Privacy Principles. The terms set out in our Privacy Policy will apply to any personal information you provide to us via this web-site.

How we collect your personal information

We generally collect personal information directly from you, for example, when you register your interest in becoming an epay retailer, if you sign up to receive marketing and promotional information about our prepaid products or services or purchase prepaid products directly from our consumer website/s. The type of personal information we collect about you is usually your name, mailing address, telephone number and email address. Where relevant, we may ask you for other information such as business or financial information in the course of assessing your interest in becoming an epay retailer. In the instances where you purchase prepaid products directly from epay, payment information will be requested from you. Payment information will be collected by Third Party Payment Service Providers (TTPSP), who have Certified PCI Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) Compliant systems. epay also use TTPSP that offer Fraud Protection Solutions that are also Certified PCI Data Security Standard Compliant systems.

How we use your personal information

We use your personal information to provide and market our prepaid products and services to you. Your personal information may be used for the purposes of providing you with information on products and services offered by third parties as well as our own products and services. We may also use your personal information for invoicing purposes if you are an epay retailer. We do not disclose your personal information to third parties for the purposes of allowing them to direct market their products and services to you.

We are a company within the Euronet Worldwide Inc, group of companies and may share your personal information with the related entities within this group of companies who will only use and disclose your personal information for the purposes for which it is collected as stated above. This may involve sending your personal information overseas.

Security of your personal information

We secure and protect any personal information that we hold from misuse, loss or unauthorised use or disclosure.

A visit to our website can result in the storage on our server of information about the access (date, time, page accessed). This does not represent any analysis of personal data (e.g., name, address or e-mail address). If personal data are collected, this only occurs – to the extent possible – with the prior consent of the user of the website. Any forwarding of the data to third parties without the express consent of the user shall not take place. Any payment information collected and processed by TTPSP are done so via PCI-DSS Certified systems.

We would like to expressly point out that the transmission of data via the Internet (e.g., by e-mail) can offer security vulnerabilities. It is therefore impossible to safeguard the data completely against access by third parties. We cannot assume any liability for damages arising as a result of such security vulnerabilities.

The use by third parties of all published contact details for the purpose of unsolicited advertising is expressly excluded. We reserve the right to take legal steps in the case of the unsolicited sending of advertising information; e.g., by means of spam mail.

Gaining access to your personal information

We will, on your request, provide you with access to the personal information that we hold about you. We may recover reasonable costs of supplying you with this information. We may deny your request in certain circumstances. If we do so, we will inform you of our reason(s) for refusal.
